Tavaszosítás / Springtime

Hát úgy esett, hogy eljött az ideje az újabb arculatváltásnak, szóval megint játszottam kicsit a színösszeállítással (háttérkép forrása).

Meg találtam egy kellemes zenét is az alkalomra.

So I've decided to change the colour scheme of the blog to make it more spring-like.

And I've found a nice song for this occasion as well:

Egyébként nem történt ma semmi érdekes, max az, hogy délután rámtört a szokásos hasfájás, így kénytelen voltam itthon maradni órára menés helyett. Ja, meg befejeztem az esszémet még vasárnap délelőtt. Egész jó lett, nem is szenvedtem vele annyit, mint általában szoktam. De azért még átfutom párszor, hátha mégse lett olyan jó, mint elsőre gondoltam.

A csütörtöki ZH meg hát érdekes történet: elmarad a tanárnő úgy döntött, hogy nem irat mégse. Szóval így szerda este lóghatok a szomszédban a többiekkel bűntudat nélkül (egyébként kihagytam volna a bandázást). 

Pénteken meg hazamenés, mert tavaszi szünet lesz, ami egyet jelent a nagytakarítással és persze a tanulással, hogy újra behozzam magam. Na, ennyit mára, még elkezdem olvasni a drámát, ami szerdára kell, zuhanyzás, aztán alvás.

Nothing interesting happened today; I've only had a simple stomach-ache so unfortunately I had to skip the Renaissance Poetry & Drama class. I finished my essay in Sunday morning which turned out to be satisfactory, though I have to run through it a couple of times again to decide whether it is really finished or not.

There won't be a midterm test on Thursday because the teacher decided not to make us write the test, which means that I'll be able to hang out with my buddies in the neighbourhood Wednesday evening. 

I'll go home on Friday since spring break is due next week, which means spring-cleaning and massive studying. Well, time to finish the crappy writing: I should start reading the drama for Wednesday (I don't know how far I'll get tonight but I have to start reading it anyway), then take a decent shower and go to bed.  

Writing mode: Zombie

Tomorrow I have to start writing an essay, or at least an outline of an essay about how Mr G. B. Shaw sort of denied the expectations of the audience in his play, Pygmalion. And I'm writing in English in order to get into the mood... I have to write a summary of a play for my Modern and Contemporary British and Irish Drama class every week, and I also have to read tons of critical articles (secondary sources, as they say), yet for me getting into the swing of writing in English takes much more time than writing a summary about 300 words (which is actually finished in 30 minutes). It's nice to have an unpopular blog with only few followers/readers, for I enjoy full independence here. 

So in the morning I have discussed the theme with my professor. At first I thought that there's no way I could write 5 pages about this topic, for I have only found 2 sources which matched the topic, and that's not enough. But then, with the help of my professor, so many ideas came to my mind, that now I have to pick out certain aspects to limit the essay to 5 pages. 

After having lunch I had to read some excerpts from a captivity narrative, then I fell asleep, for I did not sleep well last night. And since 5 pm I'm like a zombie, though I don't feel sleepy at all (probably because of my afternoon nap) and I got used to go to bed around this time in the evening (11.30 pm). Anyway, this might be a perfect opportunity to finish the book I'm reading, for ther are only few pages left. And then I can get into the habit of thesis writing as well. So much to do in so little time...

És megint rengeteg dolgom lenne, de ez mit sem számít. :D

Túl vagyok az ördögi történeti nyelvészet vizsgán, ami valószínűleg bukta lekvár nélkül, de én mindent megpróbáltam. Nagyon untam magam, négy A4-es oldalnyi kérdés eléggé lelombozó, meg kinek van kedve meg koncentrációs ereje 90 percig írni??? (nekem nincs, az biztos) 

Most meg pakolás, mert reggel a negyed nyolcas vonattal indulok Pécsről, aztán Pestről meg unokatesóm visz kocsival hazáig. Reggel 5-kor kelni pedig - mint mindig - nehéz lesz.

Aztán péntekig még be kell küldenem három házit kijavítva, remélem, nem fog rámenni egy teljes napom, de majd kiderül. Meg 23-ig be kell adni egy szövegelemzést bibliai versekről, nagyon izgi lesz, de az még ráér, hisz lesz még addig két vizsgám. Aztán karácsony...

And I should do soooo many other things than just carelessly blogging. :D

I am past the historical linguistics exam of four pages which is going to be a fail, though I tried my best. I was bored and absolutely uninterested in the whole stuff. Writing an exam for 90 minutes? What the hell? I could never concentrate for that much time. It's just not me; way beyond my capabilities. 

The rest of the day is packing, I guess, since I'll leave Pécs tomorrow at 7.14 am, and then I continue from Budapest by car with my cousin. It's going to be hard to wake up at 5.00 am... 

I have to submit three revised home assignments (preliminary introduction, argument, and summary) till Friday 12.00 am. I hope it won't take a whole day to revise them. There is also a historical linguistics assignment which has to be done till December 23; analysis of some verses from the King James Bible (sounds fun, doesn't it?), but it can wait because I'll have 2 exams next week. And after these comes Christmas...
